I decided to do some investigating into why my car had a crappy tickover and stalled occationally when braking hard. I first cleaned the TB's which didnt help too much but I got myself a face full of black sh*te as an added bonus!(those carb cleaner sprays have a hell of a kick! :mac1: ) Today I decided to have a look at the PCV valves, moved all the crap out of the way on the drivers side and found that the pipe leading from that one was split and hanging off. I replaced the pipe and the valve looks near new, didnt get a chance to look at the passenger side as it started raining. The problem is now, I cant get the car to tick over unless I have the aircon turned on (which has always bumped the revs up for me). Should I adjust the base idle or is there something im missing? I left the battery off whilst I did the work to reset the ecu, the car feels better but I need it to tickover!
