how to check for boost leaks?

My mate needs to do this. I remember someone doing it with an old beans tin and a foot pump i think but didnt pay much notice at the time.

    its a metal thing which you put at the end of the Y hose for the intake making an air tight seal. You then pump air in it with a foot pump or compressor, and listen for the hisses.

     

    Trust me its worth it. I did the baked beans thing and then bought Vijay's.
