I've finally picked up my first Z and I'm going to put my stereo in this morning. Under the hole where the head unit goes is a mesh grill with Bose written on it. There is nothing behind it and it's a bit scratched and looks tatty so what is there normally?

 

Can I put a box with spring loaded flip top in there like on my old S13? The sides of the whole seems to narrow at the bottom so will this fit. If so, where can I get one.

the bose bit was origionally the centre speaker unit ,

In my Zed there is a factory fit CD player mounted here, which is connected to the factory radio/tape player.

I think its where the half eaten mac dees goes and a good stash place for the chronic
