Hi All,

I want to get the cambelt done on the Z ASAP. Does anyone know of any decent mechanics in West Sussex, preferably Horsham/Crawley area?

Any replies appreciated!!

dont know of any m8, as i do all the work myself. So if you need a hand or anything just give us a call.

there is a guy in horsham if that's any use. i don't know if he want's his number on the net so e-mail me and i'll give you his mobile number

tackskyline@aol.com

If that's who I think you mean then he's excellent.

Doesn't rush and gets it right. Did my last service, new brakes, new prop shaft etc. And amazing value too !!

Of course that's all a bit academic if we're not talking about the same bloke :D

i would imagine it is. how many z specialists can there be in horsham. it's hard enough to find one in the south. can't remember his name though. is it mark?

It's Martyn.

I think Mark 'Topless' knows him too.

Actually I found him purely by chance through a family connection. But I agree about not posting tel. no's.......

that's the fella. i found him by accident too. living in southampton it took me a while to find someone with the knowledge required to look after a z. i'll give him a call tomorrow to see if he minds me posting his number. it may be good for buisness, although i don't think he's struggling. always seems maxed out. he's very helpful though and will fit people in

No he doesn't mind his number being posted, 07979 375230, I agree a very nice chap and does an excellent job!

another one in west sussex! popping up all over now:D

FANTASTIC!

Thanks guys. Maybe he can sort out the annoying whirring noise the car is making as well

To be truthful he doesn't mind travelling all over the south east, he has got a workshop or he will come to you, he loves Zeds and loves working on what he considers a worthwhile car! If he can help me sort out my TT conversion then there is nothing that he really can't do on a zed!

Mark

I spoke to him about that conversion and got the impression that he really relished all the work involved. Like you say he considers that Z to be such a well engineered car that it's a pleasure to work on. Top bloke !!

that whirring noise you're getting. does it come from just in front of the passenger footwell?

Not sure to be honest - sounds like it comes from the engine bay area - sounds very much like a fan noise.

I called the mechanic, I agree, nice guy. Gonna send the car over to him.
