my auto box revs out in first before it changes to second

it will only change to second if you ease off slightly

my other auto didnt do this.

is it normal (new gearbox 1000 miles ago)

Yes the tps has to be set for both the throttle stop position and the start of the linear section position, sorry did not recognise you (eek) guess I would have checked your previous tps out on the consult, would be worth doing an auto test again in case something has changed.

Same thing happened on mine , started in first but after a couple of week was slipping out of third and fourth while needing me to ease off in first and second.

 

Then I got Jeff to convert to manual

 

No problems since

that might be a little extreme

nice thought though

been testing two different tps's today

the one off my car and one i was lent

neither of them will read above 3.2 with

throttle completely released not the 4

that is stated does this mean that they are

both faulty and need to buy a new one???????
