ive got a uk head unit in my car but no raido as ive found the arial in my car will not fit the head unit??? it has 2 prongs on the lead as its a jap spec.

 

can i buy a adapter to convert it to fit my head unit or do i have to buy a new arial???? :confused: :hyper: :confused:

hi jack how's everything? with mine i just bought a uk arial and soldered it on (cutting the old one off) you can but the converters but there quite expensive!

p.s have you got you car working now as you had a det problem?

yer mate it's all sorted now and running better than ever! it's my second car now and it's great to use at weekends (you get that special feeling and..**** me this cars fast, again). I carnt really remember the adapter price as it was a year ago now, i think it was something daft like 20 / 25 squid?

we will have to meet up soon iam just waiting to get into the body shop for my veilside kit to be fitted as ive been on a spending spree and got lots of goodies to put on, just got my apexi bovs and i cant wait to fit them, ive got the new zedworld spoiler coming next week as well. its like xmas all over again lol.

My adapter was £15 :hyper:

I bought the Autoleads kit from Halfords (not their own brand one) as a special order. It has both the aerial adaptor and Nissan-to-ISO adaptor for the power, speakers etc.

 

Cost me £18 for the lot IIRC

 

One thing to note, if you have the stock amp there is no live feed to power it from the adaptor so the rear speakers don't work....

 

......solution, use a scotchlok connector and join the aerial power feed to the amp power feed.
