guys im going to get the tracking done on monday, do i need to go somewhere special or ask for a specific way of having it done because of the hicas?

TBH you have to be VERY carefull where you get it done. Even so called specialists get it wrong. Maybe someone on here can recommend somewhere in your area?

Hey folks...sorry to part Hijack but does anyone know of a decent place somewhere near Telford to get this done?

Camber is how the wheel leans in at the top, and caster is the 'rake' on the kingpin - yeah ok that made no sense LOL Its the leaning back of the pivot of the steering, looking from the side of the car. Nope still rubbish LOL.

wots the differnece between having tracking done and having 4 wheel allignment done?

tracking tends just be the front wheels. 4 wheel is tacking on all 4 wheels, and they usually test for caster, camber as well as toe.

Thats a good question Yas, I have been to place that say they can do 4 wheel alignment, and when you question them as to whether they can adjust the rears, they so no, but we adjust the front in relation to the back........is that all thay needs doing to a zed ?

That is not 4 wheel allignment then. Where I go it is independent 4 wheel allignement

so it definatly has to be independant 4 wheel allignment, any1 know wher i can get that done in or very close to leicester? do any of th big/nationwide garages do it?

i do my own, but then i do have a £10k wheel alignment bay to hand!! :D
