rather than pure speed i'm pursuing pure handling,

so far going onto my car

Eibach Springs

KYB Shocks

carbing struts (waiting)

Rear - 275/18/35 eagle F1 on Oz 18inch leggaras (waiting)

Front - 235/18/35 eagle F1 on Oz 18inch legarras (waiting)

What other components when uprated will give a better road expereience, considering bushes and tension rods but have heard miied results. Then grouping it with traction control should make a nice controllable car.

I think this probably needs a FAQ,

Front & rear anti-sway bars - try stillen or suspension techniques - I think AndyP has a set fitted. Also, make sure your camber and caster are spot as even when cars leave the factory these settings are often wrong.

Good idea re: FAQ.

Cheers!

Yup, the sway bars make quite a difference.

did you have them on when we met at andrewgs? the long sweepy road was painful on my current setup, my car often feels like the chassis and wheels arnt connected properly. Im hoping to have it all feel tighter at speed really.

Changing the bushes makes a big difference, particularly the rear subframe and front tie bar ones.

I agree with John regarding changing the bushes. However, I'd like to add the following ... If you're going to change the bushes for uprated polyurethane ones (ZCentre) then have them all changed as changing just a few will introduce an "imbalance" in the setup. Reason being that if there is one uprated set of bushes then these will operate at different tolerance levels to the old ones - which ultimately is an imbalance. Word of warning though - to change the rear subframe bushes requires you drop the whole lot under there (diff & all) ...

HTH

Just fitted my zeal fuction b6 and it rocks costy but woth's it. I'm going for adjustable upper arms to correct the camber and energy suspension bushes

There's a really good article in this months Japanese Performance Magazine, tells you in which order you should tackle the upgrades and why.

I know that springs are actually half way down the list though.

Just my 2p worth. :)

Bri.

Mike, you will need to correct the camber for the Eibachs. This is the kit I used to do the job:
