Was under the car tonight and noticed a bit of a wet patch I've not seen before.. Seems like an oily residue around the connector concerned but the connector (a rubber sleeve) seems very loose and can almost be pulled away from the joint. Am I missing a seal/clip or something and if so what can I fix it with?

Any advice appreciated as usual...

Its the clutch slave cylinder. I dont think there is anythink you can do just replace it.

Check the clutch fluid level, it may be low. You dont want air getting into it.

Thanks fellas - that looks like the one! There doesn't seem to be loads of fluid coming out (no puddle on the garage floor yet) but will keep an eye on it..

From that diagram, what do you think may need replacing (or should I just replace the whole assembly)?

You may be able to get a seal repair kit for it (ask Mike Feeney @ MJP), if not, then just replace the whole assembly - don't think they're very expensive.

Steve, can you see this from under the car? Mine is leaking a little clutch fluid. Looking at your picture I wonder if mine's doing the same thing?

I had it up on axle stands when I noticed it, but I'm sure you would be able to see it with the wheels on the floor. Let me know what you can see down there...
