Took the headlamp panel off my 300zx today for the first time to have a look at the induction kit, noticed what looks like an oil cooler directly below it in front of the fan.

Is that standard on Jap TTs or has someone added it?

I think that is the Air Con radiator you are discribing.

An oil cooler only tends to be 6-7 inches high and about 10 inches long

Do Jap TT manuals have oil coolers and if so where are they then?

Finally getting round to finding out whats under the bonnet... :)

What makes me wonder, is that it's a Cusco cooler/radiator, and there's a Cusco sticker on the stainless steel panel above the radiator, so it must be aftermarket?

(I've just added the car to the rides section by the way, not great photos yet, but getting there! - link in my sig)

You can see a UK oil cooler. Its the little one right at the front.

The one behind the black fan is the air con radiator

I think the one on mine is a Calsonic.

I'll take a proper photo of what I'm talking about tomorrow, looks a little different to that picture.

While you're there, any idea what make my strut brace is - I've not managed to figure that out yet either.

I have seen ones like that before, and the ones I have seen have been expensive.

You got a good one there

I do like that colour on a Zed, makes it look fresh and slightly more modern to me :) Am with John on the strut brace as the sticker is missing ontop looks like the last owner had it anodised blue perhaps. You do have an after market slam panel ( or homemade) hard to tell. Cusco do suspension parts and bushings etc but not a lot for Zeds, perhaps if slam panel ain't homemade then it could be a cusco one, hence the sticker, they didn't really do Coolant products though and the rad from pic looks standard.

Nice looking motor, yer just need to really brighten that bloody dirty engine bay up mate  and yer know where to come for that :)

cheers

Add three more pics, one showing the grounding kit installed, one of the interior and one of the induction kit (no idea what make it is either - apparently Apexi but I couldn't confirm this and didn't have time to take it off.

The cooler in question is directly underneath the induction kit - the ends can been seen in the photo. Took a close up of it but it was blurreed :(

Engine's coming out in a week and a half for the tub seals - will get the bay cleaned then, and depending on how much budget, shiny stuff :)

The slam panel has Central 20 (who did the ECU) and Zeal (suspension) on it plus the Cusco logo. Doesn't look home made when I took it out.
