hey everyone, i finally got my hands on one of th beauties thanx to andytt and huge thanx to chunk for coming along to see th car with me.

 

jus a few lil things i need to sort out on th car, dnt really matter how long it takes cos i wont be drivin it for a while.

 

its a jap tt which has had th uk dials put on it BUT the reading on th speedometer is way out (approx 8-9 mph), do i need to get th dials recalibrated?

 

iv got a rear fog which hangs under th rear bonnet like a honda prelude, id really like to have th top revers light on each side changed to fogs, is it a difficult thing to do yourself? wot would i need? anyone done it befor who could help me out? or would it be better to get it done by specialist?

 

the cars pulling to th left slightly so gonna have to get tracking done, do i need to go somewher special cos th cars got hicas? any1 know anywher in or near leicester i could have it done?

 

chunk said th cars running a bit lean, wot do i have to do to sort that out?

As far as the rear fog lamps is concerned, this link is for converting the inner brake lamps to fogs, but still keeping all four brake, when your fogs are not switched on. Keeps the original appearance.

I fully recommend getting your wheel alignment checked on a 4-wheel laser tracking jig. It's worth the cash, but not like loads of money. They can set your rear tracking up as well as the front then. Mine felt a bit weird when I first got it, but it was great after getting this done. This isn't a special Nissan thing - my local tyre place round the corner's got one.

 

How'd he know it was running lean? Was it pinking? Maybe try running out what's in the tank then filling up on Optimax. If that doesn't help, as a total guess, maybe there's a problem with the fuel pressure regulator? They're not hard to change.

 

Is the speedo out by the same amount whatever speed you do? If yes, sounds like you just need to push the needle round a bit ;) If it's going further out as you increase speed then you can get them calibrated. Someone mentioned this recently, but I can't remember who. Do a search for posts over this last week with "speedo" in them.

 

What else? I dunno about the fog-light... I've got a UK spec with it built in. You can do like Daves just said, or re-locate it somewhere.

i dnt think il be seeing any sideways action for quite a while, im finding it imposible to get an insurance quoute for less than 3grand :(
