erm, as in sucked it in?????????? a new dipstick is the least of your worries!!

it riped the end clean off, first time i started her up after the rebuild and it eats the dipstick lol gonna take the sump off again tomorrow and retreve the bits and find out why it did it.

I had this happen once on a Lancia volumex, but that had a long plasticky spindley nitemare dipstick!

How the hell can it break a solid Z dipstick?!

Does the engine sound sweet? Could u have bent/twisted/weakened the dipstick while its been out laying around?

Bloody hell! That sound nasty. I've never actually paid much thought to where the dipstick actually sits in the sump. I suppose it must come close to something. I just hope your dipstick was bent beforehand and nothing else.

Me too m8, the dipstick sits very close to one of the crank counter weights, so i'm guessing thats what caused it.

Never removed it m8!

 

err wheres the indicator off the bottom?

Its in the sump m8, going to retreve it tomorrow!

 

Anyone know why it done this? Wheres Duffer when you need him :cry:
