off to Florida in April any goodies shops there for the Zed?

Am wondering if anybody knows any good places that sell accessories for the Zed in Florida. Or A good priced shop for head units for my Zed as Am buying one there as they are cheaper and will fit in mi suitcase, and any other thing I can fit in within my budget lol.

Richard,

Don't know about any Z shops in the Florida area but regarding the head unit - I've read somewhere that, like Japanese radios, the bandwidths are different in the US. You may end up needing another band expander. Not sure about this but I do seem to recall having a different frequency range on my car radio when I lived in Washington DC. Just a thought to consider before parting with your cash.

BTW - posted your chrome speedometer rings this morning. Will e-mail you the tracking number for the parcel (recorded delivery).

Cheers!

What?!?!? It is the Z31 capital of the world! Spent a week there and saw now fewer than 10 of them!!! Also, got to see a couple of Z32s. Spent most of my time down in the keys! Lots of them there.

South Beach is where the serious motoring bling is. Lots of Mercedes and Porsche DBIs...

Danny's right - the US Radios work on different frequency gaps and only allow you to tune into "odd" number frequencies (eg: 95.7 goes to 95.9 and skips 95.8). Most modern head units have an setting to switch to European frequency gaps, but check when you buy.

I bought a Kenwood head unit and 10 disc changer in Miami and it worked fine in the UK. It was an easy switch and should described in the user manual. Most retailers will know about this...

Dave, A few years ago I fetched some speakers back in mi case no probs, but I take it now there will be a problem, Is there any way to ger around duty or can I say its a gift?, or do I have to pay duty , how much and will It include tax as well?

Richard

Richard,

There is someone on here who can tell you all about what you can and can not bring thruough and all the various details, but I cant remember who it is :mac1: .

You may find it easier to do a search for duty, or post a thread in Help & Advice. At the end of the day you may be OK, but it'd be a right pain in the arse if, on your way back, all your new goodies are confescated or somit like that :(

Anyway, hope you find what you want, and have a good time. :D

Talking of Florida..........if anyone is ever interested in renting my luxury Florida waterfront villa (with pool & boat dock) I can give a 10% discount off normal rental rates to any forum members ( see http://www.sunvilla.net )

Came back from Florida last year with my Greddy e-manage and U/R pulleyset. Check out the South Florida 300zx site if you do a search on Google it will come up. The guy who runs it owns a tuning shop dedicated to Zeds!

Just thought about this one while reading the US zx site. Try posting a thread on here, unless you have already :D
