Hi,

Having eventually got my Zed I am now after sorting out the ICE.

I would love to fit get my 12 inch boxed sub in the boot but looking at the depth in there I don't think it will ever go in without it getting in the way of the blind

Has anyone got any ideas or examples of the best way to shoe-horn a sub in.

I have to bear in mind that I can't just build a smaller box as subs require a certain size box depending on spec etc.

Cheers,

Justin

I have been doing some searching and have found a sub box like Andrews in the rides link above.

Link:http://shop.store.yahoo.com/sgpracing-store/jlau30stbox.html

It comes complete with a JL Audio 10W6 sub which anyone who knows anything about audio will say is one of the best subs available anywhere.

They are a little pricey at $475 but might be able to get a few quid off if we were to buy a few. Anyone up for a group buy on these?

Cheers,

Justin

Thanks Rich,

Looks like a nice tidy install.

Did you build the box yourself or is it a ready made one that goes straight in?

It was already in the car when i bought it, but it's quite a simple install, false floor lifts and you can still get the targa's in.

I'll take some pics with floor the out if you like.

Rich,

More pics would be great. Would like to see an alternative to the JL install in the above link and this would be a bit cheaper.

Justin

I know where there is one of these for sale, custom made by Bob in our trader section. The trapdoor lifts up and you can still store your Targa tops in the boot;)

Does it come with any subs and where abouts in the country is it? I would imagine postage would be pricey?

Justin

Yeah mine are actually 10s.

Geoff.

With the technology out there now you can push just as much air from 10's and they take less room...sorted

Model: 2002 Focal 33WX

Price Paid: $1300 at Stereo1 in Reseda

Summary:

Focal makes simply the best products on the market today. They are the most expensive sub retailing at around $1,300 per sub. The acuracy of the Focal subwoofers is unnatural. They are still the very best subwoofer sold anywhere in the world. Focal does not mess around, these are pro level subs.

Strengths:

The sub has a re. of 3.3 Ohms, that basically means these are insane. Max power, 600 watts. Distortion....NONE

Similar Products Used:

Cerwin Vegas Stroker 15", Kicker Solo Baric 12" round, and 12" square. The Focals are on a different level comletely.

I have two vibe 12" subs in a vibe ported box, with two vibe 6/9" speakers either side

of the box, and a pair of 6/9's in the front doors! the box is close to the rear screen and the rear roller blind had to be removed.

the whole system was bought from halfords ripspeed and is the smallest double 12" box ive seen.

1400w 12" vibe black air subs an box £300

300w 6/9" speakers £80 pair
