its number 22 in that diagram, mine and smw1's have both caused similar problems when the contacts have been dirty.

ok thanks for your help il take a look at that take it itl just be same on my car its na.

i had a very similar thing on my previous car, it was a leaky dumpvalve, you may have the same sort of problem here, ie an air leak.

what used to happen on mine was that if you booted the boost must have spiked and it used to push up the diapragm in the dump valve up and air used to leak out, the solution was to buy a meatier spring to keep the valve shut.

just like you though if i didnt hoof it then it wouldnt do it, presumably because my boost wasnt spiking.

so imho i reckon you have an air leak somewhere.

could be the import limiter, i had mine took off, £65 from z centre. Could be coil packs or spark plugs need replacing. or your air flow meter needs adjusting. let me know

cheers

Before you go out and blow your hard earned cash, get someone with a Conzult to run diags for you. If I would of done this 2 years ago I could of saved alot of the 7k I spent in bits and labour and bad diagnostics. The best test you can run with ANY engine problems is a compression test. This will tell you alot about the condition of the engine and should allways be a starting point

Keep it simple and start from basics...

This is a TPS problem without a doubt.

Clean the TPS connector and reset your ECU.

Problem will be solved.
