Got the engine back in today. Also, put the flywheel and clutch on it and got the gearbox back on.

So tomorrow is propshaft, exhaust, accessory belt stuff and engine electrical/water/oil connections day. So hopefully, fingers crossed, everything will be back working again by tomorrow night.

Do you think I should put it a bit lower? That might help actually 'coz I was getting fairly bothered about whether the selotape holding the crane to the wing was going to hold. If I put it lower I may be able to ditch the crane altogether!

Very jealous mate, just wish mine was back in, only need about another £7k to re build it!

Good work mate.

I am hoping my engine will be out by next Saturday. Still waiting for parts from the States though. Its my fault cos I keep adding parts onto the list.

Bloody hell I'm knackered! Not quite got it finished off yet. Everything's back in apart from the accessory belt stuff (alternator, PAS pump, air con, etc). Going to try and take Tuesday off to finish it and power her up.

I'll tell you something for free as well... MT90 doesn't half flow really really really slow down narrow guage rubber pipes into the gearbox! Took over an hour to fill it up!

Hey mate

They're yours whenever you like. I should know by the weekend whether it's decided to blow itself into smithereens or not! If it's still going by then, they're here for the borrowing.

Cheers

Took the car to work today. A good 75 mile round trip. She felt superb. Still got exactly the same problem with engine temperatures rising at exactly the same point in the journey and requiring the heater to be turned on to cool it (I'll cover that in a different thread I think!) But the engine felt like it's never felt before. Had a slight hiccup when I managed to blow the stock hard pipe off the driver's side turbo 'coz I'd obviously not tightened it up properly. But after that was back on, everything was so so so pleasant to be back in the Zed.

Good to hear everything is going so well.

I am looking forward to doing my car over the next couple of weeks. My engine runs smooth now, and that is in its worn out condition. I cant wait to feel what it is like when all done up.
