Me too but still managed the RR without a hitch! Mathew (MTL) has apparently taken his out a couple of times without engine removal.

Its true done it twice now, but you have to drop the cross member and you need to mod a spaner to fit one of the bolts as a regula spaner is too thick to fit.

And if i had known i would have brought the spaner to the RR day to show you!

Its not too bad, 2-3 hours if you have never done it before, the hard part is the one bolt that you need a thin spanner for.

If you do do it and want some help just PM me m8

Cheers Mat I may just do that bud Ryan

Ryan,

Not sure if you have facility for this but had a zed in the workshop with a very large nut tacked on to the sump? I concluded that this had been done to pull out a dent out ( slide hammer screwed into the nut) of the sump without removing it.

Seems like a plan would be best to drain the oils though and refill after.

Just a thought might work and save time too.

Jeff

If its any good Randy, I have a slide hammer which I can bring down on sunday.

Cheers Jeff not sure this would work due to where the dent is i.e right on the corner , I will have another look Saturday and let you know if I need the slide hammer Jock
