:hyper:  greedy profec e01 ... because it is!

That would be the new hks evc5 but if u want the best value for money then u go for the profecb

All blitz controllers: VERY good.

simple and effective.

Apexi's: complicated crap ;)

look nice and have lots of features, but have a tendency to overshoot and that's

what a boostcontroller should prevent !!

Greddy's: very good, but pricey.

HKS : dunno

Mark,

You don't have to use emanage if you've got an E01, it's optional.

I'm very happy with mine, response and control is better than the Blitz one I had and the display is excellent.

You can hook up other signals to record (mine does MAF voltage, Lambda voltage and vehicle speed too).

Record/Playback feature is excellent for tuning and it can store 3 hours of traces.

Can you guys post images of these units so we can see which one looks the coolest too?

Not had that problem with mine

Although having said that apparently there were a lot of faulty ones around last year.

And as for them being complicated???? IMHO they are one of the most straight forward units on the market - they must be if I can use them! :D

OK, maybe not the neatest install, but I was in a hurry and it was about -5 when I did it

Compared to what ? GReddy is about the best for your bucks out there.

So if I am reading this correctly you can also wire in the Profec e01 to monitor and warn of excessive parameters within the engine?

Could it warn of high water temp etc?

Would an extra wiring loom be required to set this up and would some of these only work with the emanage incorporated as well?

Me and tronics don't get on

Well compared to eg. the new Blitz RVIT controller...

Blitz DSBC RVIT II : Blitz R-VIT is available for Nissan CONSULT diagnostic port equipped cars (R-VIT Type II) or OBDII diagnostic port equipped cars (R-VIT Type I). The R-VIT plugs into the diagnostic port, allowing it to display a variety of information, including: tach, speed, water temp, ignition timing, injector duty cycle, airflow, throttle position, battery voltage, O2 sensors, and more.

Yeah I inherited an AVC-R and it's good, but not as good as the competition discussed here IMHO.

Since my new plan is to go for the most sci-fi Z in the world ever, has anyone got any more info on the R-VIT? Just had a quick Google and couldn't find anything and there's nothing on Blitz UK. It's on co.jp but my Kanji skills aren't up to that!

I'm sorry but your argument against GReddy products are without foundation. Check Racelogics prices for similar products and then compare prices. If GReddy & Trust are good enough for the Top Secret & other tuners they'll do for me

read again..I have absolutely nothing against Trust/Greddy products, but this thread is about boostcontrollers.

They have very good and high quality products, but my personal experience is just that their electronic gadgets are just more expensive compared to other similar products.

Yeh bud i understand what your saying :)

All i'm saying is that GReddy is not "very pricey" compared to Blitz :)

Yeah, exactly, you need a harness (about £20) then you can connect a further 2 analogue and 2 pulse signals up and have warnings on them all.

You can even drive an external buzzer/lamp.

With emanage you'd get a lot more signals, but the basic unit will do boost/rpm/2 analogue/ 2 pulse + 1 warning out and 1 clamped analogue output.
