Will the standard clutch hold up to about 380-400 bhp?

I got

manual gearbox

14.5 psi boost

JWT ECU

Decatted stainless straight through

HKS Super Power flow induction kit

Should that give me round about the 380ish mark?

Will my clutch hold out?

Your clutch wont last long with that amount of boost. I am running a similar setup and my standard clutch only lasted about 2000 miles before it started to slip under boost. Got a RPS street clutch now and that holds the power fine.

I have a RPS street clutch as well ... running 14psi ... No problems at all ...

When I had the new clutch fitted the stock clutch wasn't too bad at all .. just couldn't handle the boost and slipped a lot.

Since the new one (available from Smithy see Traders section) I have had no problems at all ....

With a similar setup mine started slipping after about 500 miles. I thought the clutch was knackered but it turned out that it just didn't have the clamping force to overcome the torque. replaced it with an RPS "street", which uses the Nissan standard friction plate and it's been fine ever since.

How much are the RPS Street Clutches?

How much for fitting?

Does the gearbox come off to fit as if it does might replace my knock sensor at same time?

I think Smithy charges around £345 but as you are a member you will get a discount I got a new pivot ball with mine as well ...

Fitting depends .... My Zed specialist quoted me £300.00 to fit it

Needless to say I didn't take him up on that offer... LMAO

But to be honest any good garage could fit it and would probably charge between £100 - £150 .. I think I paid £100 cash ;)

If/when you change the clutch fit an RPS semented flywheel

(approx. £260 from US) - saves you taking the gearbox out again

and makes a big difference to responsiveness. Approx half the

weight of the stock flywheel.

But will make it more hesitant at low revs (eg through town in 3rd gear) and a little tricker to downshift! It'll also be a little bit more sensitive to climbs. Basically the position of your right foot will control actual engine speed more directly.
