Can anyone confirm if there is any difference between UK and Jap rear shocks apart from the stiffness actuators on the top. My mate has a UK car and is thinking of putting Jap shocks on it because of price.

Thanks

Vijay

The Jap spec shocks will fit with out any problems, however you do need to use the UK top mount rubber etc as there is a slight difference in the top plate asembly.

Hi Vijay

You've mentioned the obvious difference:D

I Think the UK spec ones are slightly stiffer.

Perhaps he should try the USA spec ones. They are stiffer than J-spec and with the dollar being weak at present they would be a good buy.

Cheers guys. If he ends up geting them from the States, he might aswell go aftermarket as they're not that much more. It's just the shipping and taxes.

Vijay

Just to clarify a point the UK spec rear shocks are actually softer than the Jap spec ones in normal use , when activated into sports mode they are about the same.
