My front fog lamps came lose the other week. WTF! how do you get to the buggers without an arm that bend in 6 places or taking the front bumper off. I took the front crap guard off the wheel and could virtually see what I want to tighten but it was simply impossible. I then tried to take other guard off but it simple just didnt make it any easier. Whats the knack?

take the indicators out and you should be able to get to the back of the fogs (Indicators are held in with two screws)

the fogs are held in place by I think it's three bolts (it may be 4).

Not easy to get to at all. :(

Check engine light comes on and off sporadic.

Hello, I have a 1996 twin turbo manual with 64k miles. I recently started having the check engine light come on sometimes and other times it doesn't. When I checked the codes these are what I got : If anyone has had these same codes what did they change to fix the problem. Car runs fine with check engine light on but want to fix issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Reverse switch problem

Me again.
Reverse lights don’t work. Checked the bulbs and the fuse by the drivers pedal, all seem fine.
So I assume it’s the reverse switch. I’ve bought a spare and tried to swap it today. What a pain that is! I failed.

So I have two questions:
Is this possible without dropping the gearbox?
I wanted to test it was definitely the switch before I went crazy getting it out, so unplugged the old one and plugged the new one in, put car in reverse and switched on ignition and then pressed the end of the switch in but it still didn’t turn the lights on. Does the switch work this way? That you can push the plunger end in and it should turn on?

Tyre size recommendations

Cheers all,
I did consider a 225/45/17 but thought that it might be too much chunk on the side wall. But so many more options!
Looking at the calculator, going from a 235/40 to a 225/45 is about 7.5mm more sidewall which isn’t much. Loads more choice too. Think I’ll go for that, thanks for the help
