Hello all,

Asking for help again - sorry!

I seem to be getting a squeal now from i believe to be the rear brakes its constant when going along so I am guessing I need new pads, but from looking through the pads seem fine anything else? If it is the pads which are the best to use and prices??

Also time for two new rear tyres I have had a quote on B/S SO3 245/45/16 for 120 each or BF Goodrich for £90 each which is the better tyre?

Many thanks,

And hope you all have a good xmas and new year.

Come on Santa bring me the 300ZX goodies!!

Hi

Maybe the rear brakes might just need a clean.

If the pads look ok maybe just take off the pads/shims and clean then apply copper grease to the shims and put back on.

Pads can be got from PartCo or Q/H I think B19ks works for them & can get discount.

Shim kit I got from Nissan & cost me £40! Pads from Part Co cost me £27.

Dont know about tyres as my own are Continentals.

Hope this helps

Arthur

Hi Ant

To answer your tyre dilema, BF goodrich tyres give excellent grip and ride in all conditions and the price seems good. However I had these on the rear of my Supra and they only lasted a year - I only drove it 5 - 6000 miles p/a and relatively gently (most of the time) at that. So I was not impressed with them overall.

Bridgestones are pretty good and a few members here use them. They shoul last longer too.

I now use Goodyear GSD3 Eagles on the zed and in 2 words they are F***ing excellent:D Evo mag rated them the best high performance tyre in the world......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Thanks all for your help.

I like the sound of the Goodyears time to get a price I think.

The cars going into the garage today so I will hopefully get the squeal sorted.

Thanks again

and all have a good xmas.

Hi Ant

Depending on where you are in Essex, Elite Wheels & Tyres in Rainham on the old A13 (nr ford works - new A13 bypasses that bit now, I think?) are pretty good and usually give low prices.

I used them when I lived in East London a few years back.
