...and the car was parked at the time as well.

Oh well rather than have to explain this to everyone on MSN etc. Here are the details:

I was parked outside the bank tonight standing in the queue waiting for the cash machine (engine off, but sidelights still on).

Was looking at my car thinking I really need give it a good wash on Saturday before the Essex meet, when a ........ yep you guessed it Ford Transit Van (not white funny enough). Decided he also wanted to get some money out... but rather than just parking in front of me, he decided to take a section of my car with him on the way as he pulled in.

I was a little angry to say the least but a witness decided to tell me that he saw everything and he would give me his details, this happened before the driver got out so I calmed down a little bit.

Driver was driving a company van and was apologetic, gave me his details and a picture ID to confirm so I guess the insurance will be ok (got to be positive I suppose).

Anyway to cut a long story short the wing, wheel, front bumper, side lights and splash guards are damaged.

At least it didn't happen while you were in the car, so you avoided a possible injury :)

Tony

Bit of duct tape, some filler - pah be as good as new in no time.

Sorry to hear about it (and indeed to see it, messy) - but it sounds like you should make a full recovery against the other driver, so probably have to chalk it up to experience.

So sorry for you mate after all the work you have put in this year as well.

Paul

Sorry to see that mate, I've only had my Zed several weeks and it's still pretty standard and i would of lost it.

Congrats on keeping calm.

It'll be sorted before you know it.

Rich :D

If that was me, I would of gone F**** crazy and then cried.

Can't believe the damage his done!!!!

Sorry and hope you get it sorted soon.:( :(

Sorry to hear about it mate.

Was you legally parked? Where you on double yellow lines or single lines at all. I if you where I can tell you the insurance company will argue you where illegally parked.

Gutted for you.

Thanks guys,

Stuart, no I was on a single yellow at 20:20 in the evening which is not only legal for stopping and waiting, it's also legal for parking after 7pm.

BarryD,

A little confused by your comment. What experience am I suppose to put this down to  ?

OMG

Stu after all that hard work you put into your car was the bloody van driver BLIND. I dont know how you kept calm after throwing money at our cars if this happened to me id flip and probably remove his intestines and feed it to him.

Still dont look to bad bring it down to K's on saturday ill be there im sure he'll be able to fix it for a good price or modify it for the same.

Seriously Stuart i feel for u man, that must have hurt :(

Anyway cheer up u can atleast fix it and modify it more now.

Fas;)

Sorry to hear your awful news. Glad you weren't hurt, and hope your car is fixed ASAP.

You must be gutted.

Simon:eek:

Sorry to hear and see what has happened to your car Stu.How on earth you kept your cool I dont know.I would have gone "BALLISTIC"as one very unfortunate get who ran into the back of a Jag I owned found out.He only loosened the rear bumper over-rider when he bumped me at the lights. So I bumped him back" Hard" I think he learnt to pay more attention next time he drove. Hope it sorts Bud..........Good Luck..........Vinz

Words fail me!

...but I do hope you get it sorted soon Stu.

This talk of violence is a bit disheartening, would you really like a beating for a simple mistake? people don't go out on the road looking to cause an accident, at the end of the day if they have insurance then it is all going to get sorted,

Punching someone who has your details usually ends up getting you punched/stabbed/shot by one of their bigger freinds. Plus its you who will end up in jail.

Its right to feel angry but I feel stu handled himself in the right manner, and I know he's the sort of bloke that can handle himself.

Mike.... To be honest everyone says how they feel, rather than actual violence

Really sorry to see a great car damaged, but as other have said before me... You'll have it looking A1 before we know it!!

The only bad thing is insurance (What a pain in the ARS*!!!)

All the best

Ben

****! I feel for ya.

Stu gutted for you mate, and unfortunately I do now exactly how you feel when some twerp drove straight into mine 2 weeks after fitting my 99 front, luckily been accident free since :)

Doesn't look too bad and as you know Peter will be able to make it as good as new.

Hope the insurance comes through soon.

Cheers

Martin

ahh shit!! Really sorry to see that mate.

Just glad you've got the guys insurance etc, so it'll just be a pain waiting to get it sorted.

Let me know if there's anything I can do.

James:cry:

it doesn't matter even if you were parked on a double yellow, I know cos I hit someone on one once. :( I argued with pics and everything but lost. :(

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Don't know what to say m8

I just hope you're sorted with the minimum of fuss, ASAP

Dave
