anyone got any tips on cleaning screen wash jets. I've only got one, fortunately on drives side, working! I've got stuck in there with a pin but can't seem to get it cleared. I've disconnected the pipes and confirmed that the water is getting through.

Cheers

There's a thought :p

For £7 each, I would just buy new ones. Its amazing how much better they are and how much cleaner they look.

is that all they are???

£7?

I've tried cleaning mine but because of the ball valve they have built into them they're really hard to sort out.

would happily treat myself to new ones for seven quid. How the hell do you get them out? Tried (and failed) to remove them while I was trying to clean them!

Is that seven quid with or without the neon? ;)

£7 is without Neons ;)

Open the bonet and squeeze the bottom of the washers and push out.

Yeah it's dead easy - I thought they'd be some nightmare fitting like everything else, but I just grabbed the pipe and the nozzle and pulled in opposite directions, and it came off in my hand, so to speak...

I've swapped driver and passenger sides for now 'til I can be arsed getting new ones!

I had this very problem. Took em off and tried to clean em but to no avail. Blew down them, blew up them, wiggled safety pins in them, dropped them in mild bleach solution, squirted WD-40 everywhere. No luck.

Paid Mike Feeney 15 quid for a couple of new nozzles, and all my problems are over. Well, all my windscreen washing problems anyway!!

Check out MJP Eastern Auto in the Traders Forums.

Cheers,

Russ.

Got the same problem, but my washers leak aswell! When i brake you can see the water dribbling out. Leaves horrible screenwash marks on the bonnet. Read somewhere i should buy new check valves? Went to Nissan asked for check valves, 4 WEEKS later they phoned and gave me the wee joint bit that links the 2 pipes!

Anyway, anyone know how to stop this?
