Forget the rest if you have another car for getting from A to B.

Speak to Houghton insurance about there classic policy, think they are on the web.

And if you don't have another car then the saving you make will all but buy ya one!:D

I have tried most of the companys reccomended on here and found them the best.

Carole Nash was also good untill I was told they no longer insure Imports:confused:

Thanks. I just found it myself. Did a search but had to click on a few more links before I got there.

Do they do classic insurance? Do they do it on Imports?

I cant see anything on the site

Stuart

Stuart,

Yes, Yes and Yes.

And the best thing is they don't seem to be worried about minor mods such as Alloys, exhaust and filter etc.

As long as you have a another car you use daily then you can take out one of there classic policies. They do 1500, 3000 and 5000 mile limits.

Justin:)

Hi Insurance ! um!

I pay £755 Norwich Union.

I am happy with this because:

it includes recovery in England & abroad via RAC, Gold cover, home start & anything else you want to call them out for!!

I have NEVER been stranded. In the Z its very easy to become stranded.

Secondly, Valuation! interesting this is too!

I have a standard ZX TT 91 UK (no mods)! owned for two & a half years I Paid £6k for it, came with over £5K of bills in the past two years.

Since owning my Z I have bills around £8K!! & it is still standed!

Value at this time maybe er £5K! eek!

I am like most, I enjoy my car & get paranoid at the slightest knock or stange sound that appears! It could be expensive!

I am moving to Gemany in Feb 04 I am thinking of taking it with me cos the car o'ws me!

Valuation!

Arthur

Justindorville - thanks for the steer on HougtonInsurance, I just called them £190.71 pleasure use only, minimal excess (£100), on the driveway and no additional security needed.

Result.

You sir, are owed a drink.
