It seems to me that the for sale and wanted section don't have enough posts to warrant individual areas!

 

It might give the site a cleaner look if we merge them!

 

Also half the time people are selling and wanting the same thing on two different areas and not meeting up!

 

Anyway you decide!

As a newbie (but not to web stuff) - split is better if people are too confused to work out the difference then prehaps they should not be driving 300ZXs - and as SRRAE says unless you can moderate the subject line it'll be a mess. :D

How about you have a "for sale " button and a " wanted" button, but put the posts on the same area. you can then force a difference, stop the muppets getting it wrong :)

Good idea, as long as we can filter out for sale only, or wanted only - can a tick box be added so we can distinguish the posts easily?

A lot of messing around and non members not being able to edit their posts where they forgot to add "wanted" in there will make it a nightmare me thinks.

Seperate for me, only reason being is as all the mods must know by now I am against non paid peeps coming on here from outta the blue and flogging either gear or a car (s) and trading. If the "For sale" section was made so that anyone posting goods to sell UNDER say A 100 quid, it can be open to any one, subscribed or not, but as soon as a mod spots something over 100 quid by a non member, it's deleated. At the end of the day paying 20 quid to flog yer bits and bobs and make some cash, is "cheap as chips" if we never see them again, which often happens, then the club has gained a few more coffers for it's funds. "Wanted" area for anyone as there can be no commercial gain.

Separate for me too. Think that both sections are busy enough to warrant their own forums.

Works fine 'as is' for me.

I've voted merge, because as the man says, I don't think that for sales read the wants and vice versa at the moment, and if we join them up, they might....

whats wrong with a non member wanting to sell something and a member buying it. both are left happy as both get a bargain
