Not trying to start anything, just wondering.

My mate has a 95 Supra TT 6 speed UK model. I have a 93 TT auto. Standard as far as I know.

My question is; when we race he always just has the edge on me, I mean he slowly, as in very slowly pulls away. And if I am on the ball I keep up, just.

 

Is this what one would expect? I ask because I am always surprised how well my car keeps up....

Supra or Datsun ZX......It doesnt matter! You boys couldnt afford the full compliment of 8 cylinders and had to settle for 6 with a couple of hairdryers!

The 928 auto 0-60 is 6.5 sec and even the S4 can only do it in 5.5 on a good day , now considering how much money you probably spent , you have no performance gain over a 300 and certainly no more street cred

I bought the Zed because it was turbo charged, in fact I've always gone for cars with a turbo because they're much more fun. They have loads more torque throughout the rev band and are very easily tunable.

Granted the V8 sounds lovely but I'd rather have a car that I can tune up to serious power. You should have Mac1 a race :rofl:

 

Anyhow, the 928 has moved into the same arena as the 924 and 944 now. :slap: :rofl:

As both Stuart and I pointed out (and you ignored) the only porkers worth having also share the 6 cylinder twin hairdryer configuration.

Seeing as I started this thread I feel I should make a comment on Pork's additions to this thread.

 

I like 928's, I think they are very nice,

Why? If the guy wants to show himself up to be a twonk then let him!:D It all adds to the fun of the forum. Don't get upset or wound up by it, just attack back, but with a bit of intelligence and humour. I think it's a great laugh when we get some of the Supra or scooby lot on here. That bloke 'The Devil' or Mycroft used to crack me up too! (although I know he nearly made some of the members here EXPLODE!) Chill out, enjoy!!:cool:
