Not trying to start anything, just wondering.

My mate has a 95 Supra TT 6 speed UK model. I have a 93 TT auto. Standard as far as I know.

My question is; when we race he always just has the edge on me, I mean he slowly, as in very slowly pulls away. And if I am on the ball I keep up, just.

 

Is this what one would expect? I ask because I am always surprised how well my car keeps up....

Nah mate, my Z's a silver one. My avatar is just an old pic of a Z I found on a US Z site and am too lazy to change it. I've found a new one now though so I may get my butt in gear and update it.

 

Let me assure you I would NEVER 'come up behind' a 'supe' with my 'monster'....I'm not THAT sort of biker boy!! LOL:eek: :o We used to leave that kinda thing to BigRoy, but he's out of the closet now and got a Poopra.

I see about 10-15 Supras a day and no one even looks at them as they chug past. Some of them are kitted up to the eyeballs and covered in go-faster stickers and flash paint, but still no one looks. Just goes to prove you can't polish a TuRD!!

I quite like supras, don't think id buy one though, bit poncy ;)

 

nice motors though, if they are done right they catch my eye, Im not keen on them looking stock though really.

I think that a stock Supra looks better than a stock Z.....however having said that there are some seriously nice kits available for the Z where most of the Supra ones are quite extreme.....massive wings etc...........both cars can look good in the hands of the right people........

Exactly so why dont we all stick to our own forums then everyones happy.

Personally in the looks department i think the supra looks awesome (even in comparison 2 the Z) as for not turning heads that is a matter of opinion, as is whether which car is better. Personally i would think overall (for me) the Z just tips the scales, but i have friends with supras who would not even think about buying a Z. Furthermore, if i hadn't driven the Z i would probably have bought a supra.

paulG - i didn't realise this was a closed forum for zed owners ONLY ! this is a bit disappointing especially some people's attitudes but i guess it takes all kinds. i think i shall leave now. sorry to have intruded and thank you for your time.

my friend at work is looking to buy a na supra cos the tt is to high insurance, told him to buy a zed but he wouldnt have it LOL!!

Seems to me that the reason you're stuck with a lard-ass reject from the late 70's is cos you can't afford a proper porker, where I think you'll find the only one worth having has 6 cylinders complete with twin hairdryers too ... :D
