Japanese Imports have 225 section rears.

UKs have 245.

Although I have jap wheels and 245 rubber, with no problems at all. :)

edit: Also, if the cars been sitting for a while with those tyres on, you may want to change them anyway. Better to be safe than sorry. Try some Toyo Proxies. HTH.

I was lead to believe 225 front & rearfor N/A & 225 front & 245 rear for TTs?

ONLY UK TTs got 245s ;)

If they are jap tyres you must replce them - they are illegal for uk roads due to not having the e mark - bloody clubbers :D They are also aweful to drive on uk roads because they are to hard compound...

Yep, replace them asap.

My Jap used to have Jap tyres on..........noisy, very hard compound, vibration....get rid!

oh no more expence the tread pattern looks like its off a range rover:D  and i cant read the name:confused: but im still dancin anyway:dance:

I thought that the US TTs had 245s

Yes UK cars have 245.

You don't want to have tyres much older than 6 years

on your car anyway.

These are Jap Snow Tyres. They put them on the exports as they are the cheapest tryes in japan. They really suck and I think the guy that Imported Cerina's car before we bought it crashed the car on the way back from the docks because it was raining.

Put some Eagle F1's on there mate you will notice a major difference.

jap tyres are all part of the fun :D Japanese Yoko ADVAN's on ours when it came, christ it was slippery. Dunlops on now though and it sticky like glue.

what dunlops do you have? Mine has dunlops since it arrived, they slip at the top of first in the dry and when it's wet, well it's easier to say when they don't spin

I have Continentals on mine, they are okay.

Problem I believe soft tyre good grip- low milage!

Hard tyre more miles not too much grip! Higher milage?

Do we have a so called specialist on this?

Or is this just trial & error!!

Arthur

dunno what to do buy new 225 tyres all round or buy 245s for the back or change the wheels:D whats the biggest wheels and tyres i can put on it without getting the cutters out:confused:
