anyone here been roadkilled by another car?

 

I usually rely on the Zeds awwsome looks to scare them off but just now and then a lesson has to be taught to the boxter and M3 brigade etc....etc....

 

 

You ever been had by one of the competition? As yet I have not m time will come suppose but I would love to be trashed by a Zed more modded than mine rather than a Porsche or Lambo.

 

Be honest here guys.....

I get roadkilled loads of times. The problem is not usually the competition but little zit faces in rust boxes who think that wearing baseball caps back-to-front increases their 0-60.

 

But the great thing about Zeds is, who cares? You know you can blow them into the weeds so why bother? You enjoy the drive, they get the ticket / crash / hassle.

 

It's a bit like Mike Tyson not having to punch every other bloke on the planet's lights out.

i think i've been beat twice, and both times by bikes, noone else ever races or the situation doesnt arise (i drive a lot in traffic jams these days heh)

Ok so far i aint been beat by anything other than bikes.

 

Iv got a tendancy to try and race porsches and ferraris but whenever i try to give them some stick they just look at me a bit worried and carry on driving normally. (and yes i would probably get my arse kicked but it would be fun to c what they can do compared to the zed)

 

They can hear my dump valves and exhaust go off aggresivelly but they dont try 2 even give it a little.

 

What the point of buying a expensive fast car if ur not gonna push it a little.

 

Iv stuck side by side with the new M3 theyve got a very funny sound as a engine like something is rattling in their car.

 

Absoloute shit cars them new M3's (ponce cars)

I dont try with bikes as I think it is a little too dangerous as they tened be have cut through traffic to get to the front of the lights and are a little too close. I have thought about it and when I thought the bike was trying it on, I would nearly ram them up the back. Also considering my dad's bike does 0-60 in 4.1 and its a touring bike not a sports bike, I dont think I would have stood much of a chance.

 

As for cars, nothing to exciting to report and I dont try it on normal roads. Think the best I have done was a Porsche 911 with 3 people in my car, on the first day I got it. :D

Indeed it was, some fool polo cl coupe with a corrado G60 engine squeezed in it,

 

Ive also been killed by a scooby (more down to my lack of bottle i think),

 

And yesterday i was beaten by a lotus esprit, it clearly had me on the straight, the only place i kept pace was up a big hill which makes me think it wasnt the V8TT:(

 

....and to think i used to beat XR3i's in a 1.3 astra, when i was 17, ive either lost my nerve, grown up or turned into a pussy driver!!!

 

Or maybe its cos i smashed all my other cars to bits and im too scared of doing it to the zed!!

 

On the plus side ive beaten Gto's and Skylines so its not all bad!!!!:dance:

Oh and ive had a pretty even one with a 911 too!!

Its all coming back to me now, I also stuck to the boot of a TVR with one bloke in when the Zed was 4 up!!:)

I wrote this in another post a few days ago....

 

The car runs and accelerates fine! Although I did get blasted by an '03' porsche 911 turbo last night, mind you when we were stopped at the lights he did mention that it's not very often that he needs to boot it to leave people!! :D :D :D

 

But that's it to date, it costs too much to boot it just to blow some crappy little 'novawithmassivealloysandashitebodykit' away and most other stuff just moves out of the way:( :dance:

Got ****ed in the ass by a S600 Merc on the M1. Couldn't believe how quick it was. Hair-gelled driver was playing with us as well. He'd "slow" to our cruising speed then as we were pootling by, would floor it and leave us for dead. I just drive a stock UK TT so I expect many of the cars on this forum would give it a shock, but not my baby!

That's more of a simile isn't it? So, yes, a crap metaphor:D ;)

 

Can't go more than 50 yards round here without having to slam on the brakes to avoid some dumb blind git pulling in front of you. Don't get much opportunity to race/test the performance:( I've had a few blasts away from the lights against Boxter S's, but they give up pretty quick:D

Raced a G60 the other day and boy was it quick, done him on the hill... I am only stock at the moment and not had the Zed that long, but would like to match up with another Z to see if she's running about right...

I've not been beaten by anything, even a 911 Turbo didn't get away from me in a side by side race from 30mph!

 

I've not had a bike get away from me either, I know they are faster on paper but I don't think there's many riders will push them to the limit on the road.

Got to be honest ...

 

I've been reeled in by my mates 911 turbo ... I had my foot through the floor in 2nd/3rd, but he was gaining.

 

Mind you, he did spend 93k on it just 6 months ago :eek:

 

Plus, I got my own back, as I changed out of second and shot a flame out of my 'zorst and scared him sh*tless for the front of his v.expensive car!! :D:D

 

Other than that, no ... not since I had and auto-Z (runs for cover). LOL.

Twice couldn't outrun a viper; but then they couldn't gain ground on me either :D

 

Get consistently outrun by a mate's WRX, but then that's only off lights and up to about 40 or 50. Any faster and it's mine ;)

 

Nothing else has been up to the job :)

and totally destroyed a brand new M3 again on the m6.

 

Apart from that i dont tend to race it unless its against something worth getting beat by.

 

I would sell it if i got beat by a modded rs turbo or something :dance:

Have to say that I got wasted by a 911 turbo the other day, but wasnt too bothered cos it was my other motor (and the girlfriend was driving it:D )

 

Seriously though, it seems that porsches seem to get a bad rep and in fairness the only true perfomance models are the turbos, RS and GT`s. A standard 911 carrera will have roughly the same performance as a 300.

Had a motorbike revving up behind me, I tried to let him past but he made it obvious that wasnt his intention.

 

So at the next roundabout the car in front peeled off and i was left with a clear road, so i hammered it as fast as i could when we got to the next set of lights he was a good 50 yards behind me.

 

Wwhen he pulled up alongside me at the lights he said "Is that a V6 twin turbo?" and i replied "yep" and he said that he's got to admit that ive got him on the bends.

 

Imagine my delight to see the letters CBR900RR on the side of the bike!!!:D

 

Then the lights changed and he wheelied off away from me like i wasnt moving!!!

I find that WRX/EVO etc are gererally quicker from a standing start, though not by much. But from 50+ or in overtaking manouvers the Zed has them beaten. Same with some bikes, off the lights most performance cars couldn't touch them but in the midrange say 50-100mph I've surprised a few bikers.

 

I drove a Paramount Performance Jag XJR V8 the other day, now that was fooking quick (500BHP, 0-60 in 3.5). Still have whiplash from the g-force:D
