Tim, I think that you get the number when you register .. perhaps you were the 265th lucky punter to register?

 

By this same system - Craig is no.1 if you hover over his rides link.

 

Whether that's gonna make it a valid membership no. is a different question, however, although until we get a formalised scheme started then I guess it'll do for queries like John's.
