Having just had to jack up the car and find a jacking point that would take the weight (and managed to bend the frame a wee bit by putting it in the wrong place....) I did a search for jacking. Someone said you can get an inflatable jack that attaches to the exhaust.

Was that inflatable jack just a wind up? Can you really get it? If so I want one NOW. We had great shenannigens driving onto pieces of wood etc. and thought there has got to be a better way...

That looks good. Does anyone else here use one? Can't remember who originally mentioned it. People didn't seem that impressed.

They flog em in Halfords for £45

Been tempted myself for ages but wanted someone to be guinea pig first ;)

I have one, couple of points:

Is a pain in the arse to position, and when you get it into position, you have no control how it inflates , mine works ok one in three goes.

It doesnt work off my zed pipes, having four pipes, which are balanced, if you put the hose over one, the gasses just flow out the other three, but it works if I put it on the mrs' car.

its a blinding idea, and if you can be arse pissing about, it does work...

I find its easier to use the standard jack to lift the car and either put an axle stand under it, or take off the wheel and use a trolley jack (taking the wheel off allows the space to work the jack handle)

So it's a bit of a pain. I was hopeing for an easy answer. Just have to make sure the jack-points are right I suppose, with a trolley jack?. I was a bit paranoid when the tyre sales guy was jacking it up.

Have you tried covering the other pipes over ?

Also, does it stay inflated or do you have to keep the engine running ?

Cheers
