Has anyone built a decent boot build with subs etc and can still access their spare wheel.

I cant put my spare in at the moment but i'm going to re-build the boot, i just wanted some ideas.

I also need bass so i dont want to put some small speakers in ;)

I want big subs and hurtful bass :D

Ideas will be welcome

Emmmmm YEA!;)

Mac, Must have missed Andrew's sub install when I browsed the Rides.

Looks like he still has most of the boot and access to the spare. Wjere can I get one ????

:D

Or alternatively, did he do any plans of the mdf box that he might share with fellow woodworkers?

Nige as far as I know Andrew did it all himself,I must ask him the same question as I think it has been very well done;)

Please let me know what he says, this is the first boot sub that looks as though someone thought it all through before they started!

Thanks

The subwoofer based on the design available from JL Audio in the US:

http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/300zx_2plus2.html

The enclosure is made out of MDF and used an Infinity Kappa 100.1se 10" subwoofer (which has a mounting depth of 5") to keep the overall cabinet depth low. The enclosure is a sealed unit and is bolted to the boot floor using three existing fixing points. It did take a lot of time to make, but most of that was taken up with getting the dimensions just right. The design means that almost no boot space is taken up. The 100.1se subwoofer is designed for a small sealed enclosure and the bass produced is pretty good (at least to my ears).

I don't have plans but by tracing the outline of the enclosure onto paper copies could be made a lot quicker than it took me.
