In a fit of enthusiasm I bought a turbo boost controller off eBay

and now that it has arrived I've suddenly twigged the meaning

of 'Twin Turbo' (Sharp is my middle name)

So:

1 - is it a good idea, so get another one?

2 - how d'u balance the adjustment to get equal boost?

3 - give it up and use the thing as a paperweight?

Simmo,

1- Good idea ;) but don't go mad with the boost (keep it under 11 psi or so) - otherwise your engine will go 'BANG' , unless you have a remapped ECU. No, you only need the one boost controller

2- You will get equal boost off both turbos anyway. If you look towards the back of your engine, on top, you will see a pipe linking both banks of the engine. This "balance bar" does exactly that.

3- Paperweight - as a temporary measure until the boost controller is fitted :)

You only need ONE boost controller. You need to 'tee' the vac lines to the actautors together and also 'tee' the feeds for them together. Lots of instructions around - what boost controller is it???

Hey! Thanks fer that info.

It was sold under the title 'Core' but it's a Norgren R06-100-RNAA

a 0 - 0.6psi controller, now obsolete.

New number is R07-100-RNAA

huh?

Is that a joke?

0.6psi?

Norgren industrial tools?

0.6 bar = 8.7 psi !!

Well at least your engine wont go bang.:)

Have you got a link to the ebay page?

It is an adjustable bleed valve. You can bleed off up to 0.6 bar of control pressure to the actuators meaning you can control to allow up to 15 -16 psi with it. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!

Well it says on the picture 1 - 30 psi.

I have a proper hks evcIII electronic boost controller if anyone wants it, also a JWT ecu to go with.

About £200 each, i paid more than that for them a while ago and i havent used them at all.
