Trying to set up the boost and fuelling on my Z yesterday and kept coming up against intermittent fuelling probs and an inability to run much more than 1.2bar.

Anyway the garage reckon its the 'coolers so on Friday were gonna modify the front bumper to improve the airflow through them.......

As an aside, I went out last night after dark, when the temperature had dropped, and everything was fine at 1.3 bar - I could probably gone higher, but I didnt wanna lean out....

So what do you guys think?

What IC's you got on there ?

Stock IC's will start detting at about 1 bar in this heat apparently.

Adam it is NOT the coolers they are tested and will run at 35psi,sounds to me you have a fueling problem.

Yeah, but when it was cold, I drove round for ages caning the tits off it with no problems........

I dont think the problem is with the coolers themselves, more to do with how much (cold) airflow they're getting through the bumper

mr R , i draw your attention to a previous thread of yours where you seemed to invite fate and bad luck.. what were your words, "come on mutherfooker give me your best shot".

dude, if youre happy keep your trap shut!!

if your in work on saturday i'll drop by see how things are goin, and we need to get your neons on aswell. Im almost tempted to get a set myself. Has vicki had he car done yet?

Fixed.

Can boost fine now up to 1.3 in this $hitty weather, 1.4 bar when its colder on the same fuel settings - the lower charge temperature sorts any potential detting.....

Vikki's car needs a new actuator... its only been holding around 0.3 bar:eek:   not 0.7, so when she gets it back set at 1 bar it should absolutely fly:D

No air flow through the intercoolers - air was getting to them ok but could'nt exit them, which just built up high pressure warm air:rolleyes: . You wanna take a look at how much shit Nissan installed directly behind the 'coolers:mad:  So we moved/removed some of it - problem solved. Now instead of struggling to reach 1.2 bar its fine for 1.3 (or 1.4 when its not skin meltingly (is that a word?? - is now:p ) warm!)
