Anybody got one?

I'm thinking of getting one as getting worried about my security at the moment with a few problems at home shall we say... :(

Brilliant piece of kit, I fit alarms so fitted myself, cost a LOT less that way but took me a weeks worth of after hours work to fit. To fit it properly takes ages!!

I don't know the cheapest place to buy but it usually sells for £1000 fitted.

Yep I got one. I must say it confuses the absolute shit out of me at times mate.

 

The blackjack is a PITA as well but I gues with all these security features it has comes extra buttons and combinations lol.

 

I've had it for two months and only just learnt how to put it in Vallet mode lol.

 

The cliffnet software is a PITA as well as you can't use it with XP :( so I need to somehow get a 98 laptop to config it how I want it).

I spoke to Bob Safe & Sound and he told me £999 fitted in 3 days.

A place in Leeds I sometimes use wanted £1100+VAT = £1300! and a weeks fitting :o

 

Does look good but makes me wonder how many of the features they would actually connect up?

Do you get all the options listed working or is it down to the installer?

 

Seems to be the ultimate though, just concerned it's not officially Cat1 because of the remote start etc?

Its not approved Cat1 but the bits that make it up are the same as their cat1 alarms. Only difference I can see is no armoured immobiliser box and loom isn't all black.

To get all of the functions is down to the installer, I'm sure Bob will sort it out tho, he's got a very good reputation.

Went for the Clifford Concept 600 myself when my old Piranha Cat 1 packed up. Have to have a Cat 1 for my insurance.

 

Clifford are great, but if you have BlackJax fitted then get them to give you an extra keypad dingus, the thing with 2 buttons and some fancy name. Mine went faulty after 6 months which meant the Z was stuck in the garage for a fortnight immobile while I got a new one sent. Even if you have to buy one - should only cost a couple of squid.

I had the 600 fitted to my current Z too, after having a 300 on my old Z.. The 300 was unreliable as hell.. 600 seems to be cool so far though :)

 

Although one of the remotes is a bit dodgy (I don't think I'm meant to have to press the lock button that hard..

 

That was fitted in a day (just - 8.30am - 5.45pm), although I need to take it back for a little tweaking really of zones and stuff, and to get some optional extras wired up..
