Just had my car back after having 2 new turbo's fitted. They are the Turbo Dynamics stage 1 / 2 with 360 degree thrust bearing and staggered gap seal e.t.c. e.t.c. (MD 275 + MD 276 models)

Just before they were put on I noticed on the paperwork attached, boost set at 0.5 bar. Somebody correct me here if I'm wrong as I'm a PSI man that this equates to approx 7psi. Which in my mind is safety boost territory.

When I bought my Zed the turbo's were knackered so this is the first time I've had boost, but it's not amazing bearing in mind we also have apexi intake, Iridium sparkers and de-catted along with mongoose system.

Boost guage reads fine although as reliable as they are not!!

So anyone out there with these turbo's upped the boost to a higher level???????

Ideas are (as I have just bought a Blitz sbc-id2 boost controller) to up the boost to a sensible 10psi for everyday driving and maybe 15psi for removing those annoying sunday drivers!!

However I do not really want to replace these turbo's for some time yet and so don't want to overdo it. I don't thrash the car but I do enjoy that turbo kick which I'm expecting but not a lot of it at the moment is happening.

Am I expecting too much from a car that weighs approx 1700kg or am I right that 0.5 bar is a tad low. I'm sure my beloved Zed is more of a challenge to drive than this, although great and I love it something seems missing!!!

If anyone can give me the maximum boost of these turbo's so I can keep a good margin lower than that I would be very grateful.

Cheers!!!!!!!

well my stock turbos have run 15 - 16psi for 4 years now so I dont see any reason why you cant up the boost.
