Right, have just been on me old mate Phuongs' website over the pond and he's running a nifty little sale on Brembo discs, drilled at Stillen with all the gubbins to boot!

I've already enquired about shipping costs coz this lot will be heavy...as soon as he's mailed me back I'll let you know. But I had a Techtom and an ASP underdrive pulley from him recently and the box was large and quite heavy. But didn't get stung, paid £32 for the lot...result!

Price is $580 which at todays exchange rate equalled £407.069 GBP...not bad eh?

Check it!

Got Brakes?

this is a better deal than the guys i found over here, and im quite keen on that,

I already checked with him a month ago about this bargain..

unfortunately the shipping costs to Europe are fecking unbelievable, since the discs are very heavy (85pounds)!!

Phuong got me a quote for the shipping to Holland and it was over $250 with UPS

You can make a guess at the postage from the UPS and USMAIL web sites. It's not gonna be cheap - reckon on $200 UPS (I checked for some turbos that weighed 35lb).

what about a longer delivery i e shipping or something

Many suppliers (especially US) like to use UPS as they come and collect, on account etc. and it's 'no hassle' for them. Other options mean a trip to the post office, paying cash up front etc. etc.

here we go again, these are brembo castings aswell

The discs are Brembo CASTINGS

Front Discs : 20 Grooves - 169.00 inc Vat

Front Discs : 10 Grooves - 164.00 inc Vat

Pads Greenstuff - 82.00 inc Vat

Rear Discs : 20 Grooves - 189.00 inc Vat

Rear Discs : 10 Grooves - 184.00 inc Vat

Pads Nissan - 27.00 inc Vat

Redstuff (for track days)- 99.00 inc Vat

So those are the prices given you can phone him up , His name is Kevin

Tel : 01255880426

these prices are for the 300zx club, so just mention the forum and he will help

you out.

Good news (if it's not too late) - I just opened an account with Emery Worldwide for large package orders shipped internationally. I got a quote of $150 US dollars for a 75 pound package (a full 300ZX brake kit weight) shipped to the Netherlands. I would reckon the UK shipping cost would be slightly less.

As mentioned, it would cost less to ship at a longer delivery time, but USPS will not ship the package because of the heavy weight. You could break it down into several packages and ship it at a lower rate/slower delivery time but the price of the two packages is still high.

Hmm

just outta curiousity, i can get greenstuff for £58+vat and nissan for £16+vat

Is this a good price??

Aww who fecking cares smile.gif LOL

Nite Nite Zoiderz

Good to see ya on the site Phuong smile.gif

Glen those prices for pads seem quite good, have a look at Porterfield pads from the states, they are top notch and work out quite cheap(Craig, Jez and a few others got them sent from the states). Thing is the disc's tend to warp with the heat generated by the pads, so heat treated disc's seem to be a good idea. I think Jez may still be using his heat treated disc's.

Phuong, how long will this special be cause that is a real good price and im keen....

Warren, worked yours out with the 20 grooved and it's still £566 bearing in mind that doesn't include a full set of Goodridge stainless brake hoses!

I've mailed Phuong, gonna see how much I can save having this lot shipped to Luton Airport(love) as this is just down the road from where I work. If the price is right I'm gonna go for it. £407 for all that? Price is right methinks! Sod shipping costs! biggrin.gif

i know that is an awsome price, i also am keen cause im in need of replacemnet, and the whole torque downon the bolts was interesting reading to, could this be the cause for all the vibration (some gungho happy mechanic that thinks he is on the grid of a grand prix) lol

Bloody hell! Normal price of this Kit is $785 LARGE!!!

Come on Phuong, get that shipping down mate!

Tim

;-)

Happy, happy chappy! Happy Chap! biggrin.gif

Going for it! Phuong has managed to get the shipping down to $120 to Luton Airport(love...Lorraine Chase styleee!) so I'm mad for it!!!

Warren, you wanna seriously consider this mate...Luton is not that far away and if you didn't wanna pick the kit up I could always pick it up for you and then you could either collect at your leisure or hang on for the next meet etc.

Done deal! Hopefully the first time you guyZ clock my motor, not only will it have had a second chance on the ticker front! But will be well and truly Brembo'd up. $700 shipped to the airport works out at a smallish £488.198 at todays exchange...LARGE! wink.gif

Just got to hope that I'm as lucky as last time with the Import Duty in which case it'll be steal of the century! Mind you, tax man will no doubt catch up with me in other areas...fascists! biggrin.gif

As long as I'm in business and Stillen provides the brakes smile.gif

I keep changing the sale name, "Fall Sale", "Christmas Sale", etc.. lol

$580 plus ~ $120 US dollars shipping, give or take $10-15 depending on the location within the UK.

If you guys want to order a few other US parts from Courtesy or any other vendor, you can have them shipped here and I will put them in the same box.

If you plan on doing some track runs, I'd recommend more aggressive pads than the Axxis Metal Master. These do not have as high of a temperature rating as the Hawk or EBC race pads.

Yup Timmy is definately building another car in his bedroom.

Reminds me of an old story about a worker at Rover group, the managemant suspected this individual of theiving, so they had the police bust his house and search it... turns out he had stolen an entire Range Rover bit by bit, over a couple of years.. they asked him where he got all the bits lying round his house and he said he bought em at a car boot sale LMFAO!!!

Hehe

Glen

CheerZ again Phuong...

'till next time mate!
