I am thinking about putting a big spoiler on the back of my black Z, how do I go about doing this. I know that you can buy them from the Z centre but as I live in Hampshire I don't really want to drive to Nottingham to get it fitted. Also how do you cover up the holes left when you take the original small spoiler off, and do you order the spoiler in the colour of does this have to be sprayed. Has anybody had a spoiler fitted in the south anywhere.

No I haven't as yet had a spoiler fitted! SE-Nissan in Essex do these spoilers. You have to have a special skin fitted to cover up the holes and shite left behind from the OEM spoiler. No, the wing doesn't come painted, not that I know of anyway. You have to have this sprayed and lacquered accordingly. Also, you say that you don't really want to travel too far for this kinda thing, my advice is do find somewhere that knows what they are doing with fitting and spraying! If it's someone who's done loadsa Z's in the past, like Z centre, it is well worth travelling to get it done.

Trust me, I've seen some really ropey bodykits and horribly fitted spoilers and wings on these cars. When it's done right it's the dogs plums!!!

Try these:-

another disatisfied S.E. customer )lol im premepting him going there,(" that way i can say i told you so")lol

Matt,

I had one fitted and basically they get bonded on. You have 2 options to cover the holes. As Tim said, you can get the skin but I think this is quite expensive. The second option is to get the brake light panel. Luke sells them and I believe they are £100.00. This basically fits into the existing holes and covers everthing. You will have to get you boot re-sprayed to match. I would get someone who knows what they are doing to fit this, as the people who did mine did a pretty shit job on the fitting.

Now you are talking Timski!!!

Are Paul Bailey still seriously in business ?

Their web site is erratic, they're very quiet and I'm certain that the main man was in hospital for a while last year.

Not trying to start rumours, just curious whether anyone has done any business with them recently.

I have spoken to Paul a couple of times over the last month or so... I understand that he had some reservation about his business model - and thought about selling-up... but changed his mind and is now 'going for it' again - concentrating on the US markets/web site updates blah blah. From my experience - just buy parts from him and get then fitted by your own (known) body shop superstar. If you give him your car - you may not see it for weeks? Having said that - bloody nice bloke - always happy to talk/help us Z heads!

Bloody hell, I would love to be in that time frame as opposed to MONTHS!

LMAO!

P.S. Need to ring Mr. Bailey then if they are still in business as he's got the rear aero that I want badly, best get it before he stops doing it or goes submersible!

Timmy whens your car going to be ready, i recon your having the piss taken out of you

I reckon he's got the patience of a saint. Don't know if I could do without my Z for that long.

Don't want it back at the moment, have already rang Pete and told him the score. I'm in the process of moving house at the moment, and I'm in temporary accom. for a couple of months as we sold ours quite sharpish!

So I have no where safe to keep her, and last thing I wanna do is pay £££'s to get her back then have some little erk do something along the lines of what happened to that guyZ white Z at Billing!

Me: "Hey, look at that poor guyZ car, I'd shoot my cat if it did that to my car or remove its' claws with a set of pliers!!!!"

Scenario B, it get's nicked!

So I'm chilled at the moment, when I know the exact moving date I will be hassling Pete big time.

'till then...

Keep smiling I suppose!

Matt, not trying to put you off from SE BUT,

decide to replace my existing SE supplied and fitted Monza spoiler, simply because i wasn't happy with overall finish and it had started cracking in a few places, also rust was appearing along the seam where it meets with tail skin. Bought a new Veilside one from Johnny and it is with his guy now being fitted, when we took old one off nearly fell through the floor, wood screws as fixings and loads of filler on tailgate, water had also got underneath, so try Luke or Johnny and take your mota to a decent bodyshop, don't worry about hiding old spoiler holes etc, nearly all new spoilers hide the existing anyway, Smithy

i rest my case
