On the way home up the A1, between 80 and 85mph. It was the old type camera and flashed twice, does this mean it definatley had film in it? and will it be a standard 3 pts fixed penalty.

What a way to end the day frown.gif

I had a couple of nasty moments on the A45/A14 as well. Waiting for the envelope with perforated edges .... frown.gif

Don't panic too much! Most Gatso's don't have cameras in but still flash!

Play the waiting game...

Tim

;-)

Don't worry too much,

I've been flashed tons, only since the havin' Z though.

Still a clean pink slip.

ONLY 8% of gatso's have tape in. :-)

Due to supersnaps.com charging almost as much as the fine for each POE.

Proof of evedence.

I used to make the god damn things.

Sorry guys.... ::--((.

The foward facing (purple) flash sort are the ones to avoid as they get your mug shot aswell. However bad your looking at 07.00 am.

But i've been told that if the plate is facing forward in a certain off side possition. As in ALFA ROMEO (but on drivers side) its useless ?

Its what i've heard only. But makes sense if your doing 31.5 mph :-O.

I may have suffered on two of the forward facing jobbies with the red/purple (infared??) lens - not happy ....

Get yourselves a decent radar detector and you can grin as you cruise past 80% of Gatsos at 120mph!

It's most amusing to get a race coming up to a camera that YOU know is inactive and watch the other guy shit his pants and slam on the anchors as he notices the camera.

You always win these races no matter what the other car is ;-)

but radar detectors are no good for forward facing... frown.gif

i did a45/a14 trip as well, but only noticed one forward facing on the a14 i think, did i miss some andy ?

if gatsos are switched on, filmed up or not, they will flash

oh man i think i got caught on the m1 craig, i tried to slow but dont think i did in time, and never saw a flash but my speed was upwards of 90mph

The best trick is to have a car like my GT Turbo.. The previous owner didn't post off his bit of the V5, so it never got registered in my name..

And no matter how many times I post off a V62, the DVLA never send me a new V5..

Does mean that he gets all my speeding fines though wink.gif (snigger)..

problem is then he could probably claim that the car is still his and sue you lol

Craig,

I saw at least 3, but I went all the way out and down the M11.

Fingers crossed ! frown.gif

aha, Andy, i know the route well.

in that case, you passed 4 forward facing between huntingdon and cambridge, and two rear facing gatsos which might have been going your way in the centre reservation.

and only 1 on the A14 before huntingdon, which is at a stupid cross road junction on the dual carriageway...
