It was on another posting recently and someone gave the history of how they got to owning a Zed in car history. I'm sure that most of you have had dozens of car but it would be interesting to see how you got to a Zed in the cars that you WANTED at the time. So here's mine...

Metro 1litre L

Fiat Uno 1.1 60S

Fiat Uno Turbo 1.3 Turbo

Fiat Uno Turbo 1.3 Turbo

Honda CRX 1.6

Rover 620 ti 2.0 Turbo

Toyota MR2

Nissan 300zx 3. Twin Turbo

Other than the Toyota, I've always managed to go up in either power or engine size, which I'm quite proud of. Not sure where I can go from here though!!

Because it was a pile of crap! I had the Z and the Carlton at the same time. The Carlton was always bust and the parts were about 10 times the price of the Z parts and 100 times as rare.

E.g. coil pack £2000, rear diff £2500. I heard of one bloke who had to have a replacement engine and it cost him £20,000.

I hear Lotus Carltons are worth more in parts than the cost of the car.
