Dead Zed

Firstly, thanks to all those who offered condolences on the untimely death of my Zed last week. I'm still feeling the pain but it’s comforting to know I'm not the only daft sod who has gone backwards off a roundabout and killed their pride and joy.

I'm hoping to get rejoin the world of zed ownership as soon as possible but need to get through the insurance business and work out what my options are.

Realistically, what is the pay out I should be looking for, for a '90 jap import NA in fine mechanical order (96k km) ?

If it is written off, and I am inclined to do anything with it (possibly just use it for parts) what is the sort of price I should be haggling for with the insurance company?

I know that costs vary so much depending of condition etc but grateful for any advice.

If I was to buy an NA with a poorly auto box what should I be expecting to pay for a transplant operation?

Also, how much would I expect to pay for an engine transplant? (mine was very good and I think undamaged in crash)

Cheers

David

When I bought my NA three months or so back, parkers valued a '90 NA in A1 @ £4200. Use that as a baseline and argue up.
