Afternoon all,

 

I've just had an email back from a guy I know in France who can get hold of at least 10 of these keys. His initial asking price was £120 but I'm pretty sure I can get him down to around the £80-90 mark if there's a few of us.

Well I just got a complete lock set from Andy Z a while back, Ignition barrel, both door locks, glove box & boot and it came with a titanium key :D.

 

Times are hard I suspect :( hense the lack of interest.

May be interested but not sure about titainium keys, why does every one want one?

 

also, just bought my 91jap tt but it only comes with the red key, valet how do i go about aquiring a master? do they just need the number on the key?

Apparently theres a code under the red cover but you have to knacker the cover to find out what it is.

I just took mine to the local mainfella (shock horror) they just looked at the key shaft and they could work out the exact key number. They then cut a blank for me to try on the car at home. It worked fine so I took my black blank 300 key back and they cut that too, all for a fiver!!!!!! I was most impressed by that as I dont ever touch Nissan as they are way too expensive!!

So there you go, saga over!!

Nope. I haven't tried to get them from Nissan yet - hence the "might".

 

I'm still waiting for my log book to arrive... :rolleyes:

When I spoke to Nissan they said no longer available and the part number changed to the black plastic key. Spoke to a few parts deptartments all saying the same thing. One phoned me back and explained that you may still be able to get them but a case of phoning round dealers as may justttttt have one or two left on the shelf......

As I say, I'm not that bothered, really, as I *do* have one. I also have the Black and Red blanks waiting for the log book to arrive and thence for me to get enough time together to get to Nissan.... :)

I can't believe people aren't ripping your arms off for these, unless I misunderstand the price ! So is this £120 for all 10 or £120 each ?
