really good that club members help out top gear to get cars there with two days notice after Nissan let them down and the shithead has pops at the cars that is his ight but to insult the people that helped out Top Gear shows that he only uses them to boost his viewing figues

Oh well he has to look after his ego by being the first media person to slag off the 350Z

Well, I just watched the 350z on top gear, I cant believe he gave it such a bad rap.

 

Maybe the Renault engine is not as good as the old Nissan, but surely all the other things he said cannot be true.

Apart from that I think it's a smart looking motor.

 

Why wasn't he given the top spec 'balls out' 350Z instead of the 'reserved' one that the French are getting?? (so Nissan claimed)

because shithead likes the Z32 and as he wanted to slagg off the earlier Zs as getting fatter and lardier across the range they didn't want a Z32 there even though one was offered

 

what makes what he said about the earlier cars and owners that riles me is that they came to the Z club for the cars and only gave 23 HRS notice as they had been let down by others ( beleive Nissan)

Nice to see the car being driven about, but he did come into it with a crap attitude. The engine note didn't sound that bad to me (fair enough, I wasn't driving it). And as for practicality... he wouldn't have knocked a Porker for the same thing.

 

Whine, moan... the stereo's too loud. He can be funny, but he's sounding like a out of touch old git. And knocking guests that've gone to the trouble to get their cars on the show... that's just stupid.

I think they where to frightened to have the Z32 on there how can you slag off such a good car.

Anyway I have been on there web site and emailed them my opinion why don’t you all do the same, why let them get away with it I know it probably wont do any good but you can but try.

Hear hear, i must say we watched this tonight and were amazed/ appalled at the way he, A. Neglected to thank the z owners for taking what can only be described as some fantastic looking cars along, B. was rude to them. C. ommiting to include the z32?? Obviously they were to be just ribbing the Z, maybe im glad no one spent the time and effort to take a z32 along as he didnt deserve any zs at all. For any of you who did go to his show reading this, i for one ignored his opinions and enjoyed seeing your cars, very tasty:cool:

Ive seen this exact discussion on gtr.co.uk when the fat bloke had ago at Skylines.. man the furore going on with people calling Clarkson all the names under the sun and all sorts of sh*te flying around.

Some motoring journo from the Daily Mirror got wind of the discontent on the forum and ran an article entitled "Jeremy Clarkson sacked as president of exotic car club' and it was all blown out of proportion. - Clarkson was honourary president of the GTR Owners club.

 

I fully and completely agree with Iain on this one, i found the whole thing a sad joke, a non discussion and a waste of breath to talk about it. Jeez the chairman of the GTROC even contacted Clarkson and 'tried to resolve the issue' and people were voting to install VBH as honourary president.

 

What a load of sh|t. At the end of the day whether it is a Skyline or 300zx that Top Gear rip apart, who cares a toss?? ... I drive a Skyline and you all drive 300zx's and some bloke on the telly cant take away the enjoyment these cars bring.

I didnt watch it and don't partically care, but the only annoying this is you'll get all the scooby or whatever owners claiming how the Z's fat and slow or whatever. Probably get petrol tomorrow and have people sayin "why u got one of them there pretty **** mate" etc etc... Slight exageration but you get my point. People who dont know better will think they know it's a bad car.

Well the fact that we're all talking about it is proof that Clarkson's Anti-everything campaign works.

 

Who cares really, I watch Clarkson as entertainment, I used to read his ramblings in Performance Car many moons ago, and will continue to be a fan.

 

He is a bigioted northerner with a Lightning on his front lawn, who trashed a 911 - RESPECT!

Real strange thing is though, that gold 350z he had on show, well he reviewed that one in yesterdays Sunday mirror, you gotta read it cos he says the complete opposite in the paper, to what was said last night :rolleyes:
