Ok, to try to combat the constant "Where can I get insurance?" threads, can everyone please post with the following :

Which Insurance company

Telephone Number of company

Whether the Zed is UK or J-Spec

Whether mods are allowed

Whether it's a first or 2nd car

Rough insurance quote.

I'll then make something up. Maybe it's something that can be sent to all new Users when they Register or something... I'll look into it.

Maybe it's time to have a NEWBIE forum...with all these things in it.

Featured Replies

We used to have that in the price checks section. Maybe it should be bumped back to the top.

I've looked through the Price Checks forum, but to be honest it's not a well utilised part of this site. If Newbies get a load of useful bumf upon registering, they may be more inclined to read it rather than heading straight for Help & Advice and asking the question.

I'll then make something up

So.... you want us to post FACTS and then you're just gonna write a load of b0ll0x? Please explain yourself :p;):D

Cheers for this everyone. :)

Please keep them coming. :)

I just had Liverpool Victoria for my Jap Import TT 1990 renewal - £670 with £450 excess 7 years NCB no claims etc. This was my cheapest - Direct line wanted £720 with a tracker! Norwich Union where good as you could increase your excess up to £1400! that brought the quote down to £570.

Beware some companies that quote you for the Z31 and not the Z32.....they use your registration number and it comes up wrong...

Tesco.

There only exclusion on the policy is that the car must not be used to carry ducks to or from the place of work.

92 Jap import

no mods

for a 29 year old

3 yr NCB

£400 excess

no garage = £1095.
