Just popped down to Lancaster Nissan in croydon.

As per the title of the post, the guy there was a great help, sorted out part numbers, put the ones I wanted on order andd explained what is and isnt transferable between jap and uk Zeds.

Got to say, good work fella.

Yeah and every parts guy I've dealt with has been very helpful but you can get your own part numbers easily enough from TT.net so that's no great accomplishment on behalf of a Nissan dealer. :D

You may not think they are so great if you let them near your car to do some work on it...trust me. ;)

I've been to West London Nissan a few times. Each time I go I get the usual run-around as soon as they find out its a Z and an import. Each time I have to wait for 'the bloke who specialises in Z's. He does all the work on them, knows everything..." Each time its a different bloke! LOL! Each time he knows.......FA!

I was in there last week, and they had a very nice new silver 350z, so it wasn't a complete waste of time....almost.

The parts/service guy at James Barr Nissan in Bishops Stortford is always helpful, not always knowledgable, but at least helpful, and they don't much care it's an import.

Andy

My car needs a good service and I would like a full diagnostic too. Would you use James Barr for this? If not, who would you recommend?

Thanks,

Colin

If you want basic servicing then James Barr would be fine.

If you have interesting/difficult technical problems then SE at Maldon (01621) 858856.

If you just want diagnostics run and maybe some servicing then I can do that for you.

I also have other contacts for stuff like clutch changes at pretty competitive rates.

Will you be going to the Essex meet next week? If so we could meet up there to discuss.

Thanks,

Colin
