Guys,

As a few of you are aware I have had nothing but problems with the 300ZX since day 1, and now it would seem that fate has taken another turn int hat I have now split from the missus and as a result, the 300ZX seems unaffordable on my own.

Now, I have had the car about 4months, spent £5k buying the car and have since spent another £6K on mods and repairs to the car, standing me at £11K.

I realise that I will never get £11K for the car, but I was wondering what you guys thought that a reasonable price would be??

I know that you can pick up a car for about £5K, TT spec and with maybe little history about it, but with mine I know what has been done in the 4 months since I have had it.

I was thinking about the £7K range as the new owner will know that thousands have been spent already.

Do you guys think that this is reasonable??? Or am I asking too much? The wheels alone cost £2000???

:)

Sorry again to hear about your run of bad luck, and now your split from the missus.

Maybe think of selling some of the bits seperately, wheels etc?

To be blunt and honest, I think £7k might be a little high........there is no justice for what you have spent!

Keep it man............you know you want to.

I agree with James on this one (not that I don't usually :D ), either keep it your thinking of getting another Z in the future, or if you want to see some of your cash again you're going to have to sell stuff seperately wheels, brakes etc

Sorry mate

James

Hi 300zx_Newbie,christ man, what a shit for you, believe it or not,i had more or less same probs as you,so dont be hasty, around nov last year split with my missus after 16 years, and a load of other bad shit to deal with, posted about it then so wont repeat myself, but in haste i thought i could not keep the Z i had at the time and sold it ,big mistake!,after i had sorted a few things out and got sorted,a couple months later i realised i could manage, you'll find that, you come through it,just takes a bit of re-adjusting,so after couple months i bought another Z,thank christ i did, gave me something to focus on and to keep me going, best decision ever,if you want to have a chat anytime give us a bell,or if you want i will pop over one evening no problem,.;)

On another note, did Option find the problem, have they got onto it,:( Tony

What's it with Zed owners splitting up?

I split up too.....:(

Are we jinxed??????

Sorry Newbie to read of your split with the wife - I've been divorced - it certainly is the most draining experience! Financially and emotionally. But stick with the ZX if you can for a while.

But keep telling yourself that there is hope and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

yours,

Geoff.

Sorry to hear that mate.

My missus is also a Zed owner so hopefully there's no splits going on there

Sorry to hear about your split, Mark...not good - but don't be hasty in selling the Zed...you'll regret it.

Hope things pick up.

Yep been there too three years ago. But now settled down again and expecting my first baby any day now. AND... I got the Zed and the Lotus Carlton so can't all be bad!

Thats that then Mark...........you're keeping the Z and we're all here to help you out!

This place is alright y'know.........

Perhaps a better sales pitch is to put it up for sale without the line"As a few of you are aware I have had nothing but problems with the 300ZX since day 1"

How many people are going to want to buy your car now?

if youve added parts ie Alloys ect onto it , sell them seperately.

good luck and sorry to hear the problems.

Unless you are desperado for the cash I say keep it if you can. I've just been out of work for over seven months and trust me when I say the car was gonna be the last thing to go...if it had to!!!

Surprising how sh1t life can be when you're on a bad run but things can only get so bad before your life will get better. That's life peaks and troughs. ;)

Hmmm, I see a pattern emerging here ! Anyway, keep hold of the Zed, believe it or not they can be more reliable than women LOL - no offence Ajay, Emero etc ;)

sell it and buy a Skyline. You wont give a f||ck then;)
