Removed the bolt through the middle of power steering pump and 3 smaller bolts to the right but its still not budging.

Theres a bolt on the top left behind the pulley that I cant shift.

Does it need to come off and if so is it OK to take the pulley wheel off, it seems stuck on tight.

I've got 3 of the 4 bolts out of the Aircon compressor but just can't get to the top rear one.

Tried a crows foot socket as recommended but even that won't fit :(

Any ideas?

Chris there are two bolts behind the pulley on the PS pump, and i believe they both have to come out to get the pump off as i had to slacken these just to slacken the belt off when i did the water pump, i used a spanner with a bar on the end to undo em, once they go "crack" they quite easy to undo, just be careful not to round them off.

With the aircon i think you can fit a ring spanner in there, this accompanied by a metal bar should shift it.

Good luck

It's a real PITA getting the top rear compressor bolt out. If I remember correctly I managed to get a socket and ratchet on it. It definately helps if you get the car up as high as possible, if you get it up high you can actually see the bolt head which helps but you still need skinny arms and long fingers to get the socket on. Oh and have a ready supply of swear swords available.

Oh! 'swear swords' a bit like swear words except more cutting.

Decided that I'd leave the PS pump on as the fluid is all over the drive anyway from a leaky hose.

Gave up on the aircon compressor to try another day when I'm in a better mood! LOL

Hi Chris
