There was something on about Speed Cameras on this mornings breakfast telly. Mainly people seem against them. I hate the mobile ones on motorway bridges, but don't mind ones on blackspots, or in 20 or 30 zones as I'm well behaved.

What about you?

The cameras I worry about are these SPECS ones that measure average speed. If the first one sees me doing 100mph, that means I've got to slow down a hell of a lot before I reach the second one.

But then the first one may have been the second one!!! Oooooer.

Best buy meself a detector.

And that will be a complete waste of money because it won't detect SPECS. We currently have the pleasure of this system on the M20 Between Cheriton and Folkestone. 50 MPH on a dual carrageway is rediculous.

oooh yessssss!!!! (i sound like a shampoo ad) :D

Erm yes... bit hard not too really as we don't have an overall speed limit hear in the I.O.M :D :D and this sunday is Mad Sunday where they even make the mountain section one way traffic so you can go like fook and race all them bikes, :D

pretty cool really

cheers

smithy

I tend not to speed. Never 20, 30 or 40. And not even in 50 really.

I will do about 80 on the motorway, and maybe 70 on single carrageway national limit roads which are miles from anywhere.

I just use plain old common sense - if its daytime and the road's busy keep around the speed limit, if its night and/or there's fook all else on the road wheres the danger in going faster?

I know the local police wont see it like that if i get caught doing 100 on an A road, but then i did say i was talking about COMMON SENSE!! and they dont exercise that! The law's an ass when it comes to speed limits.

They just want your money, if we all started driving like angels what the hell would the police do then? They'd be gutted, having to get off their fat arses and actually solve some real crime.

You lot need bikes :D its great for relieving those built up stresses, just pop out late night with a bit of black tape over the numberplate and wring the s**t out of it, never look back and dont stop till your pulling onto your driveway.

oh and dont fall off ;)
