how much for a second hand engine and fitted.

coz there is a mean looking Z on www.japanese-carimports.co.uk that has a blown engine. Im trying to do my sums. to see if it,s a deal.

I recon it would cost £3250 by the time it landed in blighty, it's the changing the engine i'm not sure about. Any idears?

3250 is too much..maybe 2000 tops.

 

-it's a Z from '89, (but then again it needs a new motor)

-Interior looks pretty crappy..

-has been repainted (used to be black or charcoal)

-Left door is damaged

-Rearspoiler has been removed

Done exactly this this year.

Paid £1150 for engine c/w turbos

Swapped engines myself but i guess

you can pay from £1200 to £1750 w/out

turbos or more but i would make sure you can hear the engine running.

With Labour to pay you can say £2200 to £3000

dependent on hoe lucky or unlucky you are.

My advice is if you cant do the work yourself dont bother.

I didn't think the inside looked that bad, seems to have a lot of toys in there.

The same site had one last week hit up the arse for £2000, but it sold in 2 days. The MG seen cheap if you like that sort of thing though.

If it is only a leaking water pump. Aside from that it looks reasonably clean and STANDARD. The others look like right sheds !

Bought the car with damage and a blown engine

Heard the replacement motor running fitted it and it kicked in first time ive repaired the damage and im now on the road (92TT Auto import)

The whole project cost £4200.

you wouldn't be in the SAS buy any chance would you, sounds like you grabed the moto by the balls.

unless you are prepared to put in plenty of

time and do a little bit of research into the

manual dont bother, there is little room to work especially around the sides of the engine because of turbo pipes etc and if you value your time as money it is easier to buy a straight car.

I bought mine for the right money not knowing what was wrong but prepared to wait and buy parts at the right price and intending to do the work with no time constraints.

Nah, I can't get on either! Can get to the home page but not damaged or used etc.
